Who can refer?
Family members are able to self-refer. Referrals are also accepted from doctors, daycares/schools, and other health and education professionals, when consent has been provided by the legal guardian.
Funding
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) / Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI)
We are able to provide services to children who have NDIS/ECEI funding, whose funding is ‘self-managed’ or ‘plan-managed (third-party managed).’ We also assist families in applying for this funding if required. Further information can be found here:

Medicare
All of our therapists are registered Medicare Providers. If you would like to use Medicare funding to contribute to the cost of appointments, please contact your General Practitioner regarding your child’s eligibility for a Chronic Disease Management Plan.
The GP will need to name the referral to Gold Coast Kids Therapy (we cannot accept referrals for care plans addressed to other services).
Care plans consist of a maximum of FIVE (5) allied health (i.e. therapy) appointments per calendar year, and can be a combination of the therapies that your child needs. Further information can be found on the government handout found here:

Please note that this is not a bulk-billed service and there is a ‘gap’ or ‘out-of-pocket’ fee.

Private Health
Please discuss with your private health insurance provider if the therapy of your choosing is covered in your insurance plan, and how much they contribute. To claim private health, the providers typically require specific information on invoices, which will we ensure we add as required, when notified this is how the therapy session will be funded.
Fees
Fees are dependent on location, type and duration of the session. We charge as per the current NDIS price guide. Please contact us for a copy of current fee schedule.
